Data collection has been a major focus of the Pacific Coast Food Waste Commitment (PCFWC), a public-private partnership between food businesses operating on the West Coast and local jurisdictions to cut waste. Now using data from signatories including Walmart, Kroger, Sprouts, and more, the PCFWC has released an analysis of Unsold Food Rates and Unsold Food Destinations at the retail level to highlight where attention and resources need to be directed.
