Climate Week NYC 2025: Where to Find ReFED
September 8, 2025
From September 22-26, we’re excited to be back in New York City for this year’s Climate Week, where we will be on the ground making sure that food waste reduction is recognized as a top climate solution by the thought leaders and changemakers in attendance. ReFED President Dana Gunders and Executive Director Sara Burnett will be joined by a handful of staff, including Vice President of Business Initiatives & Community Engagement Jackie Suggitt, Policy Director Kumar Chandran, Director of Innovation Initiatives Angel Veza, and Senior Manager of Climate & Insights Minnie Ringland.
In addition to being a part of panels and sessions throughout the week, ReFED will be hosting a special, invitation-only happy hour on Thursday, September 25, in midtown Manhattan. The evening of connection, conversation, and celebration will mark two exciting milestones: the relaunch of the Food Waste Action Network, ReFED’s member-led community designed to accelerate action by activating individuals and organizations committed to reducing food waste, and the launch of the ReFED Catalytic Grant Fund’s next open call, “Minimizing Methane through Food Waste Solutions.” Space is extremely limited, so we’re asking those interested to request an invitation using this form.
Here are the events where we’re part of the official programming—some are invitation only, but others have opportunities to register to attend or livestream. We’ll update this schedule with any new additions or changes, and we hope to see you there!
