Employer Matching Gifts
Through a matching gift program, your employer may double or even triple the impact of your donation to ReFED.
IRA Qualified Charitable Contributions (QCD)*
If you’re 70 ½ or older, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) of up to $108,000 from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to ReFED without having to pay income taxes on the money.

ReFED Directs Philanthropic Funding for Maximum Impact Through the Catalytic Grant Fund
The ReFED Catalytic Grant Fund provides direct nonrecoverable and recoverable grants to organizations on the front lines of the fight against food waste. Based on our experience with our highly successful COVID-19 Food Waste Solutions Fund and the wealth of data and insights we've generated around food waste, we have created this opportunity to help philanthropists who want to support system change but don’t have the bandwidth to research individual funding opportunities. The Catalytic Grant Fund takes the guesswork out of the process, assuring that donor dollars are used where they will have the greatest impact—reducing food waste, addressing climate change, supporting biodiversity, getting food to families that need it, and helping businesses secure better bottom lines.
