Recap: U.S. Food Waste Pact Town Hall Webinar
October 24, 2024
On October 16, the U.S. Food Waste Pact—the first national voluntary agreement focused on fighting food waste in the United States—held its first town hall meeting, which gave attendees the opportunity to learn more about the initiative and give feedback on the Pact’s future plans. The presentation, given by Pact leaders from ReFED and World Wildlife Fund, featured an overview of the initiative, its current slate of programs and projects, and its plans to expand and grow in the next several years.
Throughout the town hall, attendees were asked to answer questions that will help inform the strategic direction of the initiative. Additionally, the Pact team made two announcements during the presentation—a new Advisory Council, composed of leaders across sectors and industries, and a new signatory, Health Care Without Harm.
Miss the webinar on October 16 but want to provide feedback? Please fill out this three-question survey to provide your input on the future of the Pact.
