Climate Week NYC: Where To Find ReFED

September 5, 2024

We're excited to be back in New York City for this year's Climate Week, and we're looking forward to helping make sure that food waste reduction is recognized as a top climate solution by the thought leaders and changemakers in attendance. ReFED President Dana Gunders will be joined on the ground by our Vice President, Capital, Innovation & Global Initiatives Alexandria Coari, Senior Manager, Capital Initiatives Angel Veza, and Climate & Research Manager Minnie Ringland.

In addition to being a part of panels and sessions throughout the week, ReFED will also be co-hosting a special invitation-only “Moonshot Workshop” with the XPRIZE Foundation that leverages their renowned process for ideating moonshot prize concepts along with ReFED’s expertise in the drivers of food loss and waste, key opportunity areas, and where capital can be most impactful. XPRIZE has launched 30 prizes in 30 years, and its model has been proven to drive exceptional growth in every sector in which it has been deployed—during Climate Week, we’ll be working with a team of experts from across the globe to develop prize concepts for a potential XPRIZE challenge focused on food waste reduction.

Here are the events where we’re part of the official programming—some are invitation only, but others have opportunities to register to attend or livestream. We’ll update this schedule with any new additions or changes, and we hope to see you there!
