Katy Hart (Franklin) (She/Her)

Katy Hart serves as ReFED’s Director of Finance & Administration, supporting financial leadership and administrative excellence across the organization. She joined ReFED in 2017 and has been honored to watch the organization grow over the years as one of its longest-tenured employees. Previously, Katy managed operations at Sustainable America, where she gained a deep understanding of successful food waste reduction programs with consumers, food service providers, private firms, and at major events. She has authored industry and academic research on food waste and opportunities to address this global challenge.
Katy has more than 15 years of experience in operational functions including accounting and financial management, people operations, legal, compliance, board management, and strategy. She is motivated by tackling major global challenges through systems change. Katy is SHRM-SCP certified.
She lives in upstate New York with her husband.
