Special Launch Event: Food Waste Capital Tracker
Wednesday June 1, 2022 1:00 pm EST
Join us for the launch of ReFED's Food Waste Capital Tracker – a brand new tool in the ReFED Insights Engine. Through an analysis of investment data sourced from PitchBook, the Capital Tracker offers a deep-dive look at private capital food waste investments over the last decade, from industry-wide trends to deal-level details. It's a first-of-its-kind platform to support capital providers and solution providers in developing food waste funding strategies.
In this hour-long session, we'll present a demo of the Capital Tracker, share key findings on private capital investment in food waste from the last ten years along with emerging trends, and hear from capital providers and solution providers on how they're using the tool.
This event is hosted by the Food Waste Funder Circle (FWFC), a network designed for private, public, and philanthropic funders interested in using their capital to solve food waste challenges. Co-founded by ReFED and Upcycled Food Association, the FWFC offers a curated platform for funder education, collaboration, and investment to help drive the capital flow needed to reach national and international goals to reduce food waste by 50% by the year 2030. You can learn more about the FWFC here: https://refed.org/engage/food-waste-funder-circle/.
