U.S. Food Waste Pact 2025 Data Report

The U.S. Food Waste Pact's annual data report details food waste reduction progress in the retail and foodservice sectors. Unsold food rates, food efficiency rates, destination rates, and food waste causes (in foodservice) are a few of the key metrics explored in this report, and a robust methodology section explains how these best-in-class datasets are calculated and maintained. This report, though published alongside the Pact's 2025 Impact Report, summarizes 2024 data, as that is the year of data most recently available from reporting signatories.
