Ana Gomez Lemmen Meyer serves as ReFED’s data scientist, working to improve ReFED’s ability to leverage data and statistical methods to understand, measure, and inform key food waste solutions.

Ana is an economist and data scientist with over 10 years of experience applying data science and economics to improve processes and decision-making in areas such as supply chain optimization, forecasting, pricing, and water management.

Ana began her professional career working in the tech industry as a senior economist at Amazon and as the founder and lead scientist at RavenA Analytics. She was a lecturer in economics at the University of California, Los Angeles. Ana has led qualitative and quantitative research studies—one of her most rewarding projects was studying innovative water management practices during drought conditions. She holds a doctorate in economics from Stanford University.
