Durante Degli Alighieri

  @@(alt)@@

Durante Degli Alighieri, better known as Dante (1265 – 1321) was banished from Florence, Italy, in the 14th Century when a political party he aligned with was toppled by the opposition. Living under one of the most extreme circumstances, Dantes wrote his ethical and political conception of the world. His visions of Heaven and Hell inspired the masterpiece "La Divina Commedia" or The Divine Comedy. Italy now celebrates him as one of its greatest poets.
