I was forced to run away leaving my land of birth; my happiness and joy by a group of people called themselves rebels to bear the name refugee. I was mentally and physically tortured; I lost all my loved ones, my self-esteem and my dream of becoming a great woman in the region of Africa and the world as a whole. I was broken into pieces like a beautiful glass bowl forcefully thrown on a very hard rock. I never thought my broken life would ever be able to mend in order for me to be able to get to that great future I always thought of when I was a little girl.
Despite all the trauma I went through, I want to say thank you to DAFI for reducing the uncertainties of my future, for putting together the pieces of my broken life, for healing that pain of my tortured mind and most of all, for giving me education, a legacy that will never be taken away from me. Thank you! Mother DAFI for restoring back my dream of becoming that great woman I always wanted to be.
Thank you
